For millions of years mankind lived just like animals .Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination We learned to talk . Why won't you talk to me. You never talk to me.What are you thinking. What are you feeling Why won't you talk to me. Where do we go from here. It doesn't have to be like this All we need to do is make sure we keep talking . Keep Talking

In India these products might find a pool of people using them, depending on how company market these products...remember you can sell anything...all you need is right strategy....

Hmmm .. i agree that you can sell anything ... BUT BUT we will have to change the classical Hindi dictionary to have another meaning for that word ;)

I will say remember how the name Coca-Cola in China was first rendered as Ke-kou-ke-la. Unfortunately, the Coke company did not discover until after thousands of signs had been printed that the phrase means "bite the wax tadpole" or "female horse stuffed with wax" depending on the dialect. Coke then researched 40,000 Chinese characters and found a close phonetic equivalent, "ko-kou-ko-le," which can be loosely translated as "happiness in the mouth."....

So big companies also change their ways they will also do...

During my recent visit to India I saw people with their unique imagination and marketing strategy selling stuff you would never buy e.g. an Indian style loo in form of an Ash Tray. It is the same Indian loo which reminds me of a horror stories during my hostel days but I was laughing at the idea of using this as ash tray.

Remember sometime a weird brand name could do the free advertisement for itself because people just laugh at the name and somehow remembers the name. Now having said that, this might give the company a penetration into the market but to retain their grounds, they need to work on Quality, Price and some other factors.
